Daily Prayers for Radical Christians

Jesus’ life and words move us to respond to poverty, injustice and exclusion with compassion and action. This unique and original daily Christian liturgy is for people who want to take those words seriously in personal devotion, in our communities and in public life.

It comprises four main parts: a new presentation of the Beatitudes in today’s language; a Daily Liturgy (with prayers for morning, midday and evening on a seven-day cycle); Waymakers and Waymarkers, a 366-day calendar of people and events that bent the arc of history towards justice; and bespoke Occasional Prayers for activists to use at every kind of gathering.

Living for Jesus & Justice has been prepared by a diverse gathering of voices as an initiative of Red Letter Christians UK, collated and edited by Simon Jones, a writer, activist and theologian, and co-founder of Peaceful Borders, a grassroots agitation working with displaced people in Calais and London.
