**EXPLORE THE WORLD OF MINING**

Start with a global density grid showing mine concentrations across every continent. Drill down through regional grids to individual mine pins, color-coded by status — Active, Closed, Prospect, or Other. Switch between Standard, Hybrid, and Satellite map views to see mine sites in their real-world context.

**COMPREHENSIVE MINE DATA**

Every mine entry includes location, coordinates, commodities, status, mine type, deposit type, ownership, production history, and data provenance. See which independent sources verified each record, from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System to Geoscience Australia's OZMIN database.

**POWERFUL SEARCH & NAVIGATION**

- Search mines by name instantly
- Navigate by coordinates (decimal or compass notation), place names, or GPS
- Filter visible mines by commodity — Gold, Silver, Copper, Lithium, and 14 others
- Filter by status — Active, Closed, Prospect, or Other

**BROWSE & DISCOVER**

Explore mines organized by Country, Commodity, Status, or Mine Type. View statistics with interactive pie charts showing mine distribution breakdowns. Search and sort within any list. Discover something new with the Random Mine feature.

**NEAR ME**

Find mines near your current location with three views:
- **List** — sorted by distance with search and sort options
- **Map** — see nearby mines with driving routes and distance labels
- **Compass** — a live compass pointing to the 5 closest mines
