About Mivo-
Mivo answers the oldest question in gardening and farming: how much water does my crop actually need, and when?
It is built entirely on FAO-56, the United Nations reference method used by agronomists worldwide. Enter a day's weather — temperatures, humidity, wind and sunshine — and Verdant evapotranspiration computes reference evapotranspiration with the full Penman-Monteith equation: extraterrestrial radiation from your latitude, clear-sky radiation, net longwave losses, vapour pressure deficit, every step shown with its equation number.
Then it goes further. Pick a crop and a soil, and Verdant evapotranspiration builds the crop coefficient curve across four growth stages, steps a daily root-zone water balance, and tells you the day your plants will start to stress — before they show it. Each irrigation is scheduled at a trigger depth you control, converted to litres and runtime at your actual flow rate, so the number on the screen is the number at the tap.
Everything is transparent. The Reference tab shows the radiation chain from the top of the atmosphere down to the crop. A built-in method page lists every FAO-56 equation the app uses. Five stations on four continents ship preloaded with monthly climate normals, and a temperature-only Hargreaves cross-check is always one tap away.
Plan across fields: three sample gardens from California turf to Arizona maize come ready to explore, and you can add your own with custom area, flow and efficiency. Log what you actually watered, export a one-page season report as PDF, and watch the balance close to four decimal places.
No accounts. No network. No tracking. Your fields stay on your device in a single JSON file you can export and keep.
