- 📦Newdle - News Together updated to version 1.8Meet the new Newdle video editor: a full multi-track timeline, right on your phone.
• Cut it your way: split, trim, duplicate, reorder and undo, with every edit saved as a draft
• Captions that pop: generate them automatically, fix any word, and pick a look, a font and word-by-word highlighting
• Titles and story cards: add lower thirds and headlines, drag them into place, or bring in a quote, timeline or reported claim from the story
• Looks, transitions and speed: filters and color adjustments, smooth transitions between clips, and faster or slower playback that keeps voices natural
• Sound control: set each clip's volume, add fades, and mute or hide any layer right from the timeline
• Save to Photos or share your finished video anywhere
Recording got faster too:
• A new Record button opens the camera instantly, no story needed. Add one later if you like
• Choose 15 seconds, 60 seconds or 10 minutes, follow a script that scrolls as you talk, take photos, and flip cameras mid-take
• Story Kits open the camera with your story and script ready to go
• Recordings, refreshed: one list, newest first, with thumbnails that match your video's shape
Also in this update:
• Every plan now includes a public profile
• Video in Writings. An article can carry a video next to its images, and a note can hold a photo or a video. Readers play them right in the app.
• New pricing. Creator is now $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year, and the first 7 days are free. One plan covers Story Kit, Library uploads, video export, captions, and AI help across Newdle. Reading, Networks, and Writings stay free for everyone. If you already subscribe, your plan continues. Reader+ is retired; current Reader+ subscriptions run to the end of their term.
• Fixes for Spotlight video playback, labels that wrapped on smaller screens, and the usual round of bug fixes.… more - 🆕Newdle - News Together first spotted by AppInsider#87 in Top Free · Magazines & Newspapers · United States
- 📦Newdle - News Together version 1.7• Follow creators. Tap Follow on any profile, in Voices to Follow, or right from the Watch rail, and manage everyone you follow from Settings. Tap a new-follower notification to jump straight to their profile.
• Search Watch. Videos now show up in search alongside stories, people, and writings.
• Recordings, reworked. Upload a video without choosing a story first and attach it later. Uploads keep going in the background if you switch apps, failed uploads tell you why and offer a retry, and the old size limit is gone. Takes you recorded on the web now play in the app, and you can download the original file.
• Watch shows the whole frame. Videos are no longer cropped to fill the screen. Portrait and landscape clips play at their true shape, with a soft blurred backdrop filling the edges.
• Coming back to the Watch tab now resumes where you left off instead of landing on a frozen or blank card.
• Going back from a story inside a collection returns you to the collection.
• Plus a fix for a wrapped label on the Watch rail and the usual round of bug fixes.… more - 🆕Newdle - News Together released on the App Store

Newdle - News Together downloads
Worldwide, per day, and installs to date. The band is open; the exact number is free with an account.
How this is calculated
Apple publishes no download counts. App Store downloads come from chart positions and daily rating growth per country, calibrated on Google Play install counts; lifetime installs from ratings worldwide × installs per rating. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.
Active users
All platforms, worldwide. Free with an account.
Stickiness (DAU / MAU)
how many monthly users open it on a given day
How this is calculated
Monthly users come from lifetime installs across every store, fitted on monthly active user figures companies publish; daily users = monthly × the typical daily/monthly ratio for the category. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.

Review momentum
51/100
faster than 52% of News apps
Review momentum (0-100) blends how fast the app collects ratings compared with other apps in its category (60%), whether that pace is speeding up (25%) and what recent raters give it (15%; recent stars well below lifetime pull it down). Ratings counts are read daily. A jump usually means a launch, a feature, ads or a new review prompt.
About Newdle - News Together
Newdle is the news platform for independent journalists and the audiences who follow them. Understand, create and share the news - with sources, context, and claims built into every story.
Built for creators who value research, verification, and credibility - independent journalists, newsletter writers, video creators, podcasters, and the news junkies who follow them. Free to download.
Some of the features built into Newdle:
- A feed that shows its work. Every story arrives with its sources, confidence indicators, and fact-check status visible. Not buried in a footnote. Not behind a tap.
- Timelines: Understand how we got here. See how the story unfolded. What was claimed when. What's been added, retracted, or updated since it broke.
- Blueprints: Newdle extracts the claims from every story. You see what's been confirmed by multiple sources, what's contested, and what's still a single-source claim. The work is shown, not asserted.
- StoryKit: It contains all the tools you need to tell an engaging, contextualized story quickly - from understand to record in minutes. Includes a built-in teleprompter so you can record your video with the work in front of you.
- Networks: These are private groups for people working with the news - family, colleagues, or the group chat that always asks “wait, what’s going on with…”
- Spotlights: Short bite-sized news content to quickly understand the story they're attached to. These short, ordered reels pull together the stories and moments that matter to your audience. Explore editor-created Spotlights or create your own to share with your Networks.
- Bulletin Boxes : Urgent data across relevant stories. Election trackers, court decisions, emergency live updates. Structured context lives next to any related story.
- Library: Save stories, recordings, documents, and research in one place. Build your personal archive and access what you need when you need it.
- Newdle Watch: Short-form creator videos on the story, always presented alongside the story it's attached to, making it easier for people to engage with facts and news
Trust in institutional media is at a generational low. Independent creators are where audiences go for news now - but they've been forced to build credible work on top of tools not made for evidence based news. Accuracy has become a competitive disadvantage.
We believe evidence-based research and reporting requires more and better tools. So we're not building just another news aggregator but a fundamentally different approach to news.
