About Page Search for Safari
A Safari extension that finds the text you are looking for on the page you are already reading.
The search bar floats on top of the page instead of covering it, and you can drag it anywhere with your finger.
■ What it does
・Searches the page as you type
・Highlights every match on the page
・Shows the current match in a different colour
・Displays your position and the total, like "3 / 12"
・Steps through matches with the previous and next buttons
・Lists every match so you can jump straight to the one you want
・Sits as a small magnifier until you tap it
・Removes every highlight when you close it
■ Good for
・Finding the right paragraph in a long news article
・Checking where a term appears in a manual or help page
・Picking out the posts that mention a word on a forum
・Looking for the size or material on a product page
■ How it searches
・Partial matches
・Case insensitive
・Works with Japanese, English and numbers
・Covers the text visible on the page
■ Privacy
Neither your keywords nor the pages you read ever leave your device. The extension makes no network connections at all — everything happens on device. No data collection, no account, no ads.
■ Getting started
1. Open the Settings app
2. Select Safari (inside Apps on iOS 18 and later)
3. Tap Extensions
4. Turn on Page Search
5. Launch it from the extensions button in Safari's address bar
