About Particle Quest: JLPT Japanese
Confused by は, が, を, に and で? You’re not alone. Particles are where many Japanese learners get stuck, yet most apps spend only a couple of lessons on them before moving on.
ParticleQuest does nothing else. There are 36 lessons and 720 questions, each built around a pair of particles that learners genuinely mix up.
WHAT YOU GET
• 10 worlds, 36 lessons and 720 quiz questions
• Core particles: は が を に で と や へ から まで も の
• 36 contrast pairs, including は vs が, に vs で, を vs に, に vs へ, と vs や, から vs まで, も vs は and の vs も
• Real scenes from classrooms, homes, stations, shops, travel and everyday conversations
HOW IT WORKS
1. Learn the contrast. Each lesson introduces two particles side by side, with the rule and minimal example sentences.
2. Answer in Japanese first. The question initially shows only the Japanese sentence. Reveal the English hint when you need it, so you develop intuition instead of translating everything.
3. Understand the reason immediately. Every answer explains the correct rule, the common mistake behind the tempting option and a contrasting example.
4. Let review identify your gaps. Incorrect answers are automatically rescheduled, while a confusion score shows which pairs still trip you up.
WHY IT’S DIFFERENT
• Particles are the entire product, not a chapter inside a vocabulary app.
• A confusion dashboard instead of a basic list of mistakes. Find your weakest pair, then practise it in a focused 5-question or 10-question session.
• Explanations written for each individual question, rather than one generic rule repeated everywhere.
BUILT FOR
• Beginners who still guess between は and が
• Learners preparing for JLPT N5 to N3
• Self-directed students who want focused grammar practice, not another flashcard deck
• Students revising before an exam or a trip to Japan
PRIVACY AND OWNERSHIP
• Fully offline. Everything works in aeroplane mode, on a train or during a flight.
• No account, sign-up or email address required.
• No ads, tracking or analytics. Apple’s privacy label states it clearly: No Data Collected.
• One-time purchase. Buy it once and keep it, with no subscription, in-app purchases or content locked for later.
ALSO INCLUDED
• Streaks, daily goals and mastery tracking for each lesson
• Support for iPhone, iPad, Mac with Apple silicon and Apple Vision Pro
• An interface available in more than 30 languages
