Pearson Messenger

• Save photos and videos from a chat to Photos or Files — select several at once • Your Pearson ID QR code is now a link: the iPhone camera opens Pearson right away • Stickers appear instantly, and the sticker panel opens smoothly • Chats open faster • More stable calls and a more reliable sign-out • New avatars in the Noir theme • Security and stability improvements

• A new way to add people: a one-time Pearson ID code or QR code — valid for 5 minutes and works only once • Your former Pearson ID is now your login — it's only for signing in, don't share it with anyone • Requests: new contacts arrive separately — accept, decline or report • Deleting a contact removes it for both of you at once • An encrypted copy of your contact list for signing in on a new phone • A contact's new encryption key (new phone or reinstall) now needs your OK: until you verify the code or accept the key, their new messages stay hidden and your messages to them wait to be sent • Delivery is confirmed by the contact's own phone inside the encryption: if a message didn't arrive, Pearson sends it again (when the contact also has the new version) • A link in a message opens only when you tap the link itself; only regular web, email and phone links are active • Password strength hints, an option to show the password while typing, and a keyboard layout hint after a wrong password • Noir theme and a new video message recording bar • Swipe to minimize the call screen • Messages always in the right order • Stronger security: keys and files on your phone are better shielded, the app switcher preview hides all windows and the keyboard, and invisible characters used to disguise names are removed • Security and stability fixes
