Photo Vault keeps private pictures and videos out of your camera roll and out of anything that syncs. Nothing is uploaded unless you turn on the optional iCloud copy, and nobody — including us — can see what you keep here.

WHY IT STAYS PRIVATE
• No account and no server
• No cloud unless you choose it, and the vault is excluded from regular iCloud backups
• Your passcode is kept in the iOS Keychain
• Your files use iOS Data Protection: encrypted by the iPhone itself and unreadable while it's locked
Nothing leaves the phone unless you choose to: turn on the iCloud copy or export an encrypted backup before you switch iPhones.

• Does it work offline? Yes. The vault lives on your iPhone and opens without an internet connection.
• Is it free? You can try it for free. Premium, with 7 days free, unlocks unlimited photos and videos.
• Do my photos leave my phone? No, unless you choose. They only leave if you turn on the iCloud copy (end-to-end encrypted, in your own iCloud) or export a backup yourself.
• Why not just hide them in the Photos app? Hidden photos stay in your main library and sync with iCloud Photos. Photo Vault keeps them in a separate vault with its own lock and no sync unless you choose it.
• Can I move my vault to a new iPhone? Yes. Turn on the iCloud copy and restore on the new iPhone, or export an encrypted backup in Settings and restore it there.
