About PinTrove: Favorite Places Map
Save every place you want to go, and every place you loved, on one private map.
Restaurants to try, cafes worth the detour, trip ideas, hidden spots: add them in seconds, mark each one Want to Go or Visited, and let smart collections keep them sorted. No account, no ads, and no company server holding your places.
SIX WAYS TO SAVE A PLACE
• Search an address, restaurant, park, or business
• Use your current location, right where you are standing
• Choose a photo or video and PinTrove reads its GPS coordinates and capture date
• Pick the exact spot on the map
• Type or paste coordinates
• Search a whole area and save many places at once with Find Many Places
WANT TO GO, OR VISITED
Every place carries a status, so the spots you are dreaming about and the ones you have already tried live on the same map. Add a note, a 1 to 5 star rating, and an emoji that becomes the pin on your map. Rate the places you visit, so next year you remember which ones were worth it.
ORGANIZE THE WAY YOU THINK
Build collections by hand, give each one an emoji and an accent color, and drag to reorder.
Or build smart collections that fill themselves. Ten rule types: date added, date captured, within a set distance of a point you pick on a map, region, favorite, frequent, source, membership in another collection, status, and rating. Combine them with Match All or Match Any. Set a rule once, and every new place lands in the right collection on its own.
A MAP THAT STAYS READABLE
Pins cluster by density, so a thousand places never turn to mush. Filter by collection. Switch between Standard, Hybrid, and Satellite. Choose the view it opens on. Press and hold anywhere to look up what is there. One search field looks through your own pins and real-world places at the same time.
OPEN IT IN YOUR MAPS APP
Open any place in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze.
FIND NEAREST
Loved a place and now you are three states away? Find Nearest searches that place by name around wherever you are right now, widening from 25 to 100 to 250 miles, so a saved favorite finds today's closest branch. Free for everyone.
SHARE A SET OF PLACES
Send a group of places as a file over Messages, Mail, or AirDrop. Whoever receives it can look through them and edit each one before importing.
REMEMBER YOUR REGULARS
Frequent Places can notice the spots you return to and offer to save them. It is optional, off by default, and runs on your device. Place names come from Apple Maps.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
• No account, no sign-up, no login, anywhere in the app
• No third-party SDKs, no analytics, no ad code, no tracking identifiers
• There is no PinTrove server, so there is nowhere for your places to go
• A photo you pick is used only to read its location and date. The photo itself is never stored, and PinTrove never asks for photo library access
• Turn on iCloud and your pins sync privately across your own devices, still with no PinTrove account
FREE AND PRO
PinTrove is free to download and free to use, and sav
