PlanTrace Downloads & RevenuePlanTrace · App Store

PlanTrace turns any construction PDF into a working set you can mark up, measure, and walk the job with. Built for general contractors, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and project managers who live in drawing sets on iPhone, iPad and Mac. It works completely offline, with no account and nothing uploaded.

MARK UP LIKE YOU WOULD ON PAPER
• Pen, highlighter, arrows, lines, circles, squares, arcs, and polylines, with dashed, dotted, and center-line styles
• Revision clouds and cloud callouts
• Text, notes, stamps, and signatures
• Insert photos from the camera or photo library, or paste a snapshot of another sheet
• Voice memos pinned to a location on the plan
• Full Apple Pencil support: pressure-sensitive line weight, double-tap to erase, Pencil Pro squeeze to switch tools, and drag-select

MEASURE AND TAKE OFF
• Auto-Scale reads the drawing scale off each sheet and calibrates every page in one tap
• Linear dimensions, perimeters, areas with hatch patterns, angles, and item counts in real-world units
• Cutouts deduct openings, slab depth gives volume in cubic yards, wall height gives wall area
• Snap to the drawing's corners and midpoints, with an on/off switch and an ortho lock
• Every measurement is listed with totals and exports to Excel or CSV

TOOL CHEST
• Save pre-styled tools into sets and share them, so the whole crew marks up the same way
• Starter sets for takeoff and field markup included

CONSTRUCTION CALCULATOR
• Feet, inches, and fractions, typed the way you say them
• Units carry through the math: length times length gives square feet, times depth gives cubic yards
• Trade functions for rise/run, stairs, concrete, rafters, studs, paint, tile, and ramp and drain slopes

RUN THE PUNCH LIST
• Drop punch pins anywhere on the plan, tagged by trade and status
• Attach photos and notes to each item
• Export a punch report PDF the sub can work from

FIND ANYTHING IN THE SET
• Search every sheet for text, including words inside scanned images, and jump straight to the match
• Reference markers link between sheets and details

SHARE THE WAY YOUR TEAM NEEDS
• Share a single sheet or the whole set as a flattened PDF that opens anywhere
• Share a .plantrace package that keeps markups editable for another PlanTrace user; received packages merge into your copy of the set
• Your original PDF is never modified until you choose to export

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no login, no subscription
• Works completely offline
• Nothing is uploaded anywhere; markups stay on your device

Requires iOS 17, iPadOS 17 or macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
