About Postcode Wars
Your suburb against every other suburb in Australia.
Postcode Wars turns the streets around you into a game board. Every suburb is a team, and everyone who lives there is on it. Walk to real public places — parks, beaches, stations, landmarks and shopping strips — to collect the resources your suburb needs, and watch it grow from a quiet village into a glowing future city, right on the map.
COLLECT
• Five resources from real places: timber from parks, water from beaches and rivers, stone from landmarks, steel from stations and energy from shopping strips.
• Stand beside a place for a few seconds and it's yours. Places refill, so your daily walk is worth it every time.
• Super Nodes — famous places across Australia — pay out far more for the people who make the trip.
BUILD YOUR SUBURB
• Everything you collect goes into your suburb's shared pool and earns badges: roads, homes, parks, shops, transport and landmarks.
• Your suburb's real streets change as it levels up, from gravel tracks to glowing hover-lanes.
• Start with your own plot on a real street, build it up into a tower, and add wings that make materials for you while you're away.
RACE YOUR STATE AND THE NATION
• A live ladder of more than 2,600 suburbs across every state and territory, ranked on the last four weeks — so every suburb can climb.
• See where you rank among the players in your own suburb.
• Plant stakes in other suburbs' places and defend your own.
MORE WAYS TO PLAY
• Take the bike out wherever you are and sweep up places as you go.
• Extra plots, landmark towers like the Burj Khalifa and Eiffel Tower, weekly boosts, drill rigs and Teleport are available in the Shop. Nothing in the Shop buys your suburb a place on the ladder.
PLAY SAFELY
Only public places are used. Never enter private property, watch for traffic, and never play while driving — collecting pauses at driving speed.
Postcode Wars is free to play. Playing doesn't need an account; signing in with Apple joins you to everyone else in your suburb.

Latest updates
1.3.1
A fresh new look, and more to win every day.
Watch the ladders. A slim rail down each side of the map shows where you and your suburb stand, top to bottom. Every time you climb, it counts you up place by place.
Your morning report. Each day opens with how much of your suburb you hold, what you won and lost overnight, and where to go to win it back.
Smoother territory. Your suburb's ground and your rivals' now join up with soft edges, and you can see it from further out.
New players get a head start: your first week counts double on the ladder.
Also: places load instantly where you've been before, even with no signal, the collect ring fills smoothly, and a brand-new icon.
1.3
Claim your patch. Every place on the map is now held by a suburb, and its ground is shaded: blue for your suburb, coral for everyone else. Collect somewhere and the old suburb's name crumbles away as yours takes over, on foot or on the bike. Each day, the suburb that collects the most at a place holds it from 4am, so every morning you'll see what your suburb gained and lost overnight.
Pick your own name. Build it from our word lists, like Turbo Toaster 7 or Yodelling Wheelie Bin 42, and change it once a week.
Watch yourself climb. Your rank in your state now sits top left, every collection that moves you up says by how many places, and each visit tells you how far you've moved since last time.
Also: invite friends from any suburb, smoother buildings and pins while the map moves, a smoother bike ride that finds places as you go, and South Brisbane, Concord West, Regents Park and Unanderra now go by their proper names.
