About Presidential: Run a Country
NEW IN 2.0
• Leagues: run a second country in the Atlantic or Pacific League at double speed.
• The Presidential Assembly: ask other presidents about your decisions.
• A new decree book with court risk, and addresses with tone, audience and promises.
• Crises abroad, favors and new Global Council motions with sunset clauses and sealed fine print.
You're handed a real country for one real week. Then the next player inherits everything you leave.
Presidential is a multiplayer strategy game set in a shared world of all 193 UN member states.
Your cabinet governs while you sleep, every decision runs on a clock, and you're scored against a caretaker, so a bad inheritance never counts against you.
ONE WEEK IN OFFICE
• Your term is seven real days. A game-day passes every 10 minutes, so one week holds nearly three years of budgets, borders and headlines.
• Read your inauguration dossier and your predecessor's handoff note, then take the oath.
• Decision cards land in your in-tray, each with a timer and real options. Decide in time, or your cabinet's pick takes effect.
• See what a decision changes now and what it sets in motion over the coming game weeks, months and quarters.
A CABINET THAT GOVERNS WHILE YOU SLEEP
• Eleven advisers, from Finance and the Central Bank to Intelligence, each with a personality, loyalty and a memory of your decisions.
• Set an autopilot mode, spending limit and posture. Routine calls are handled under your limit. Crises stay on your desk until their deadline.
• Replace a minister who keeps steering you wrong.
• With supported sign-in and your consent, ask ministers questions and receive AI replies grounded in your country's situation. Availability and usage limits apply.
RUN THE COUNTRY
• Set taxes, fuel subsidies, the minimum wage, capital controls and the exchange-rate regime.
• Split the budget, issue bonds or buy them back, and start projects that outlast your term.
• Trade 14 commodities, from crude oil to cocoa, in markets that react to embargoes, export bans and shocks.
• Read briefings and travel through your country as the game calendar advances.
DEAL WITH THE WORLD
• Other seats are held by real players, AI presidents or caretaker cabinets. AI presidents are labeled.
• Message other presidents and negotiate treaties. Sign, counter or decline offers in the conversation.
• Write treaties clause by clause: tariff caps, supply deals, loans, aid, joint border commissions and council voting pacts.
• Arrange state visits with other players. Both sides review the costs and agree before either treasury is charged.
• Vote on Global Council motions, impose embargoes and decide what to do with intercepted intelligence.
• Border disputes flare up and cool down. You negotiate, concede, stand firm or fix the cause.
LEAVE IT BETTER
• At handoff, an audit grades your fiscal health, reserves, stability, commitments and diplomacy.
• Your legacy is measured against a caretaker running the same country from the day of your oath.
