What's new in 2.6
Story of the Day
Every day, one poem introduced by its story: why it was composed, for whom, and on what occasion. Find it on the Home screen, get a glimpse of it with the daily reminder, and tap to open the poem with its full background.
Favorites
Save any poem with the star at the top of the page and return to it from the Favorites button on Home and in the Diwan. Favorites now has two sections: Poems and Poets.
iCloud Sync
Your streak, achievements, stats, favorite poems, and followed poets move with you between iPhone and iPad.
Faster browsing
Step to the previous or next poem from inside the poem, with buttons or a swipe, without going back to the list.
Poet of the Day
A wider rotation, and only poets with at least ten poems are featured.
New explanations
Backgrounds added for more than 1,100 poems and explanations for about 7,800 verses, bringing the total to 5,759 explained poems. 234 more poets now have fully explained diwans, including al-Nabigha al-Dhubyani, Durayd ibn al-Simma, Zayd al-Khayl, Bishr ibn Abi Khazim, Ta'abbata Sharran, and Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hashim.
Improvements
The Identify the Meter game no longer shows free-verse poems.

What's New in 2.5
• Reading Mode — a clean, distraction-free page for reading poems: just the title, the poet, and the numbered verses. Reading Mode is now the default view; switch to the full view (commentary, background, and source) with one tap, or pick your preferred default in Settings.
• New commentary — nearly 4,500 newly explained verses and background stories for about 700 poems, completing the diwans of over 120 poets, including al-Samaw'al, al-Mutalammis, al-Tufayl al-Ghanawi, and al-Khirniq bint Badr.
• General improvements and fixes.
