QuakeReady: Earthquake Alerts

When an earthquake hits, your first thought is: Is my family okay?

QuakeReady answers that question first.

Earthquake data comes from 18 official seismic networks: USGS, EMSC and GFZ worldwide, plus AFAD, JMA, CWA, BMKG, GeoNet, SGC, SSN and FUNVISIS regionally. Alerts go out once an agency publishes an event, with the agency named. Alerts for significant quakes near home are free. Premium adds the safety check, a high-priority push that comes through Focus and Do Not Disturb to ask if you are okay, and Watch any place: a parent's city or a holiday home, with your own magnitude and distance thresholds.

FAMILY CHECK-IN
When shaking hits your area, QuakeReady asks your family: Are you okay? Each person taps I'm Safe or I Need Help, and everyone in your circle sees the answer, with location when available. I Need Help shares live location for 24 hours, then stops.

OFFLINE CHAT OVER BLUETOOTH
When the network goes down after a quake, Offline Chat sends messages phone to phone over Bluetooth. Nearby phones relay for each other, so a message can hop to someone a block away. SOS is free for everyone, and if a contact sends one you can sound their phone's siren to find them. Private messages to your contacts are sealed end to end and need Premium. On iPhone, keep the app open.

EARTHQUAKE DETAIL AND MAP
Open a quake for magnitude, depth, distance from you, when it happened, when it was detected and by which agency, an estimated shaking intensity where you stand, and the nearest active fault. The map draws epicenters over thousands of mapped active faults and every plate boundary, bundled in the app so they render offline. Open "The ground beneath you" to see how far the nearest fault is and how large a quake it can produce: a setting, never a forecast.

HOME AND LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS
Send I'm Safe or I Need Help from the home screen without opening the app. The lock screen widget opens the app in one tap.

FAMILY EMERGENCY PLANS
Write a plan for home, work, school or any place you name. Prepare secures furniture and supplies; Survive teaches Drop, Cover, Hold On for the kitchen, the car, a wheelchair; Recover sets the order afterward, from injuries to the gas shutoff. Tasks adapt to pets, children, infants, elderly and mobility needs. Assign who grabs which bag, pin two meeting points, share the plan.

EMERGENCY BAGS WITH EXPIRY TRACKING
Five templates, pre-filled from FEMA, Red Cross and international guidance: a 72-hour Go-Bag, a bedside bag, a car kit, a work kit, a home stockpile for two weeks. Quantities scale to your household, down to liters of water. Track every item's expiry date; a reminder arrives 30 days out, so you never find expired water in the bag.
