About Radarvar: Speed Cameras
Radarvar is a driving assistant for careful, law-abiding driving. It warns you ahead of speed cameras, red-light cameras and average speed zones, tells you the speed limit of the road you are on, and offers spoken turn-by-turn navigation built on Apple Maps.
9 COUNTRIES
Türkiye, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, the United States and Australia.
• More than 20,000 fixed speed and red-light cameras and 1,500+ average speed zone points
• Data from OpenStreetMap contributors and official open data (e.g. Transport for NSW in Australia; in Türkiye the National Police and the Ministry of Interior)
• Camera data is stored on your device, so alerts also work without an internet connection
Coverage varies by region and depends on the available public data.
SPOKEN ALERTS – NO NAVIGATION NEEDED
• Short, clear alerts such as "Speed camera in 400 metres" (miles and mph in the US and UK)
• Live average speed while you drive through an average speed zone
• Speed limit of the current road, spoken when it changes, and an alert when you exceed it
• Works in the background, with the screen locked and while you use another app
CARPLAY
• Satellite or standard map, speedometer and the road's speed limit on your car's display
• Alerts for upcoming speed cameras, red-light cameras and average speed zones
• Route preview with alternatives, turn-by-turn directions, spoken alerts through the car speakers
• Routes to nearby fuel, charging and parking, and one-tap reports
NAVIGATION
• Alternative routes with the number of cameras and average speed zones on each
• Apple's live traffic information
• Share your arrival time
COMMUNITY
• Report mobile speed traps, police checks, accidents and hazards with one tap
• Other drivers' reports appear on the map with clear icons and are spoken as you approach
• Passing a report? Answer "Still there?" with one tap; reports disappear when drivers confirm they are gone
• Reports are anonymous: no name, phone number or e-mail is shared
MORE
• Satellite view
• Drive mode with a large speedometer and the speed limit
• Live display on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
• Long-press the map to save favourites, automatic parking spot, break reminder
ONE-TIME PURCHASE
No subscription and no in-app purchases. All features are included.
IMPORTANT
Radarvar is not a radar detector and does not detect radar signals. Locations are compiled from public sources and user reports and may be incomplete, wrong or out of date. Obeying speed limits and traffic laws is always the driver's responsibility. You are responsible for complying with local laws; in Germany, using camera warnings while driving is prohibited (§ 23 (1c) StVO). Radarvar is not affiliated with any government agency.
Continuous use of GPS in the background can reduce battery life.
