Rain Viewer wird noch vielseitiger: Ab jetzt kannst du in der App direkt hochaktuelle Satellitenbilder einblenden – mit drei starken Datenquellen für maximale Abdeckung und Detailtreue:
• EUMETSAT für Europa und Umgebung
• NOAA GOES für die USA sowie den Atlantik, Pazifik und angrenzende Regionen
• NASA GIBS für globale Satellitenbilder der ganzen Erde
Dadurch erhältst du eine deutlich bessere, weltweit verfügbare Wolkendarstellung – ideal, um Wetterlagen großräumig zu verfolgen. Verfolge damit z. B. Wirbelstürme im Atlantik und Pazifik oder beobachte die Entwicklung von Tiefdruckgebieten im Mittelmeerraum. Erst kürzlich gab es dort Anzeichen für einen möglichen „mediterranen Hurrikan“ (Medicane) im Ionischen Meer – solche Systeme lassen sich mit den neuen Satellitenbildern besonders gut verfolgen.
Die Satellitenbilder ergänzen deine gewohnten Regenradar-Daten perfekt: Während das Radar zeigt, wo es gerade regnet, zeigen die Satellitenbilder, wo sich Wolken bilden, wie sie ziehen und wie sich große Wettersysteme entwickeln – überall auf der Welt.
