About re:cam - Retro Camera
Six old cameras in one app. You shoot through the old look instead of adding it afterwards.
Most retro camera apps shoot with a modern phone camera and age the photo afterwards. re:cam works the other way round: the old look is already on the picture you frame, focus and press the shutter on.
■ Six cameras, six screens
Phone 4 (2010): glossy black chrome, a silver shutter and an iris that closes when you shoot.
Phone 5s (2013) and Phone 6s (2015): the flat camera screen of their day.
IX 80 IS (2008): the LCD of a silver compact.
W35 (2007): a compact's LCD with green corner focus brackets.
Disposable 800: a plastic film camera body with a frame counter and a flash switch.
Change cameras in the Cameras tab.
■ Their limits are the point
Each camera saves at its own size: 5 megapixels on Phone 4, 7 on W35, 8 on Phone 5s and IX 80 IS, 12 on Phone 6s. Disposable 800 saves 6 megapixels at 3:2, the shape of a film frame.
No HDR. No portrait mode. No night mode. No multi-frame merging. One press of the shutter, one frame.
■ Your shots, in their own album
Every photo is saved to your library in a re:cam album. Camera Roll is built in: browse the grid, open a shot, share it, delete it. The system Photos app has them all too.
■ Photos you already took
Tap + in Camera Roll, pick a photo from your library and switch between the cameras to see it through each one. Save keeps it as a new photo, and the original stays as it was.
■ More cameras in free updates
New cameras arrive in free updates. The Cameras tab lists what is installed.
■ Pay once
No ads. No watermark on your photos. No subscription. No in-app purchases of any kind. You pay on the download button, and that is the end of it.
Stop polishing the life out of it.
