About Rewrite World - Alt History
■ Write a different history
Rome in 117. The Three Kingdoms in 209. Genghis Khan in 1206. Constantinople in 1453. The French Revolution in 1789. And 1914, 1936, 1962 and 1989. Choose from 9 turning points and take charge of a nation. From there, your choices shape what happens next.
■ The map puts you in command
Take control of a world map with 2,023 land provinces. Tap a province to recruit troops, construct buildings or build forts. Drag armies to move them, or tap another country to open diplomacy. Select a distant province and your army finds a route, marching over several turns. Before you move into enemy-held territory, see the predicted battle outcome.
■ 1 turn = 1 month
Orders are queued during the turn. Tap "End Turn" and movement, battles, occupation, the economy, recruitment, unrest, research, treaties and events all resolve at once. Dispatches then tell you what happened. The rules decide who wins and loses.
■ Cross the seas
The sea has map tiles too. Embark troops at ports, cross waters such as the Mediterranean, Caribbean and North Sea, and land on enemy shores. Troops are at a disadvantage against forts on the turn they land, and lose strength the longer they stay at sea.
■ Diplomacy comes down to terms
Talk to another country's foreign ministry about alliances, non-aggression pacts and peace. AI writes dialogue suited to the era, but relations, national strength and the terms you offer decide whether a treaty is signed. You can't talk your way around those conditions.
■ Three ways to win, room to negotiate
Win through conquest, economic strength or diplomacy by meeting the victory conditions for 12 consecutive turns. Each campaign spans 20 years. Lose your capital and tax revenue drops while recruitment pauses. The losing side can request surrender; the winning side can accept it or set terms at the negotiating table. Choose from three difficulty levels at the start.
■ The world moves on its own
Other nations pursue their own goals. While you watch, a neighbor starts a war, a colony breaks away or a bankrupt country disbands its army. You can recruit in occupied territory too, but it takes more resources and 1 extra turn.
■ Saved on your device
Your progress and settings stay on your device. No sign-up is needed. Progress is saved automatically each turn, with a backup of the previous turn.
