NEW — POLYRHYTHM MODE
Two hands, two counts inside one beat. Start with 3 against 2, the one every musician meets first, and work up through 4:3, 5:4, 5:3, 7:4 and 7:5. Every ratio is a ladder of four stages: the right hand alone, the left hand alone, both hands at half tempo, then both up to speed.
- Two tap zones, one for each hand. Every hand is scored on its own, so you can see which one is drifting and by how much.
- Read the cycle as notation or as two turning rings — the same exercise, whichever way makes it click for you.
- Give each hand its own instrument, so the two lines stay apart by ear.
- Practice runs the cycle without end and lets the tempo follow your hands: up a step when the cycle comes out clean, back down when it doesn't. It remembers the fastest tempo you held clean for every ratio and every stage.
- With a MIDI keyboard, each hand gets its own half of the keys — or a key of its own on pads, where pitch says nothing.
- Polyrhythm accuracy is kept apart from your rhythm statistics: it trains a different skill and belongs in its own tally.
