How long is that stretch of river you are about to paddle? Drop two pins and River Ruler measures the riverbed itself, following every bend instead of drawing a straight line.
You also get the numbers that decide a trip: where the river starts and ends, how much water it carries, how steep it runs, how winding it is, and how long the section takes by kayak, SUP or on foot.
• Measure any river section — along the real riverbed, not a straight line
• See the whole river, from source to mouth, with its total length
• Find rivers by name, or jump straight to coordinates

• The app now speaks eight more languages: Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Czech and Traditional Chinese.
Improved
• Pins snap to the river. You no longer have to hit a narrow channel exactly with your finger.
• Wide rivers measure from the bank — the app widens its search until it finds the channel instead of saying there is no river nearby.
• The map recovers on its own after a network hiccup. Before, it stayed grey until you restarted the app.
Fixed
• Taking the free measurements offered on the purchase screen now continues your measurement. Your two points stay where you put them.
