About Sealed Time Capsule
A message to your future self. Photos for a special birthday. Memories you want to share later. Sealed Time Capsule turns them into an encrypted time capsule with an opening time and a password.
YOUR CAPSULE, YOUR MOMENT
Add text, photos, videos, voice recordings, files or a location. Review your contents and choose when they may be opened. Every capsule also requires a password.
SEAL FIRST, THEN SHARE
One person creates a capsule and can send the finished file to any number of people. Recipients open it with Sealed once the time release is available and they have the correct password.
KEEP THE PASSWORD SEPARATE
Share the password separately with a prepared message and QR code. Recipients can type it or import it using the QR code. Optionally save it in the device Keychain.
TIME AND PASSWORD WORK TOGETHER
Sealed uses cryptographic time release through the public drand network. Changing the device clock alone does not unlock a capsule. An internet connection is required to retrieve the time-release data.
LOCAL, WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION
Your library stays on your device. No Sealed account is required. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Onboarding and illustrated help explain each step.
IMPORTANT: NOT A BACKUP
Sealed helps make content available later and does not replace a backup. Keep originals and additional copies of your capsule files outside the app, and back up your password separately. Successful transfer, continued availability and future access cannot be guaranteed, including after app deletion, device loss or changes to the app, operating system or time-release service.
