- 📦Sheafly version 2.1This update fixes lost bookmarks and oversized photo pages.
• Fixed: on iOS 27, with “Flatten into the page” and “Add a Table of Contents page” both on, the saved PDF lost all its bookmarks and the links on the contents page didn’t work. Both work again.
• Fixed: photos no longer become giant pages. Images now fit neatly on a Letter or A4 page, turned to match the picture.
• New: choose the page size for images in Settings ▸ Assembly — Letter, A4, or the size of the image itself.
• Fixed: turning a Table of Contents setting on or off no longer throws away the changes you made in the Table of Contents editor.
• Sheafly now checks every PDF it saves, and tells you if any Table of Contents entries or links didn't make it into the file.… more - 🆕Sheafly released on the App Store

About Sheafly
Sheafly turns a stack of PDFs and images into one polished PDF — on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad — and keeps the structure useful: tables of contents stay linked, scans can be rotated or made searchable, pages can be chosen one by one, and the finished PDF can be stamped, watermarked, compressed, split, previewed, or password-protected.
WHY SHEAFLY
Many PDF mergers flatten documents into a pile of pages. Sheafly reads each source PDF's outline before merging, builds a new combined Table of Contents, re-targets every bookmark to its new page, and can even print that Table of Contents as a real, linked page at the front of the PDF. Manuals keep their chapters, reports keep their appendices, and packets stay navigable after you reorder or trim them.
ONE PURCHASE, EVERY DEVICE
Sheafly is a universal app with universal purchase: buy it once, on any device, and it is yours on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. No subscription, no unlock tiers, no in-app purchases — every feature is included, forever.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN — 100% ON YOUR DEVICE
Everything happens locally. Sheafly has no network access at all — no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no cloud processing. It runs in Apple's App Sandbox, touches only the files you give it, and never modifies your originals. Even text recognition for scanned pages runs on your device.
FULLY NATIVE, FULLY ACCESSIBLE
Sheafly is built entirely on Apple's frameworks — SwiftUI, PDFKit, Vision, Core Graphics — with no bundled converters and no third-party code, so it is small, fast, and at home on every platform. And it is designed for everyone: full VoiceOver support and complete hardware-keyboard control, on all three platforms.
WHAT IT DOES
• Merge PDFs and images in the order you choose
• Preserve nested Tables of Contents and rebuild every bookmark
• Edit the combined TOC before saving: rename, remove, indent, outdent, or add entries
• Add a printed, linked Table of Contents page at the front of the PDF
• Choose pages one by one; rotate whole documents or single pages
• Split one PDF into chapter PDFs using its TOC
• Save and reopen sessions with everything intact — order, page choices, rotations, TOC edits, and document info
FINISH THE PDF
• Set Title, Author, Subject, and Keywords for the combined document
• Strip identifying metadata when sharing a cleaner copy
• Keep, flatten, or remove comments and markup; optionally strip links and form fields
• Add blank separator pages, or start each document on an odd page for double-sided printing
• Add continuous headers and footers with page number, title, and merge date tokens
• Add a Draft, Confidential, Copy, or custom watermark — stamps and watermarks are drawn as crisp graphics that never pollute the text
• Password-protect the result and control printing, copying, and editing permissions
• Reduce file size for sharing while leaving text intact
• Make scanned pages searchable with on-device text recognition
• Preview the exact output before saving
