About Shocal
SHOCAL for all things local.
Not just takeaways. The florist, the butcher, the coffee place that does the good toasties, the corner shop with the thing you forgot. Order for delivery, or pick it up yourself on the way home.
ONE DELIVERY, MORE THAN ONE SHOP
Most apps make you choose a single place. This one doesn't. Get your dinner and a bunch of flowers in the same delivery, from two different shops, with one driver.
FOOD FROM PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE
Chip shops, curry houses, cafes, bakeries. Independents, mostly - the sort of place where someone recognises your order.
SHOPPING, NOT JUST DINNER
Groceries, gifts, plants, refills, sweets, homeware. If it is sold on your high street it can turn up at your door.
TICKETS TO WHAT IS ON
Match days, gigs, family days out. The ticket sits in the app with a QR code ready to scan at the gate. Nothing to print, nothing to lose.
LOCAL SERVICES
Cleaners, trades, tutors and the rest. Names and numbers of people who actually work in your area.
DELIVERY OR COLLECTION
Have it brought round, or collect it. The map shows what is close and how far, so you can decide whether it is worth the walk.
WATCH IT COME TO YOU
Once your driver sets off you can see them on the map and roughly when they will arrive. If they are dropping something else off first, we wait until they are on their way to you before showing it, so you are not watching a car go the wrong way.
