About Simply Cribbage
Heads-up cribbage against an AI that plays to win. Classic rules, a clean look, and no internet required, ever.
PLAY IT YOUR WAY
• Three opponents: Nob keeps it friendly, Noddy is sharp but not perfect, and Nubb plays each hand to optimize points. No mercy, no help.
• Count it yourself: Self Score has you count your own hand and crib, and Muggins lets your opponent claim any points you miss, and lets you claim theirs. Both are on by default and can be switched off in Settings, under Advanced, so the game counts for you.
• Hint: when you want a nudge, it raises the best discard or pegging play (not on Pro).
• Adaptive AI, off by default, studies your finished games on this device and gently nudges the opponent toward your tendencies.
• Game Automation and Game Speed let the game handle the repetitive parts at the pace you like.
LEARN AS YOU PLAY
• On iPad, Coaching Mode gives live tips for discards, pegging and counting as you play against an Easy-level opponent.
• Turn the iPad sideways and the table stays in front of you, with a message pane on the right for the game's messages and the coach's advice. The pane steps aside when there is nothing to show.
• How to Play and Pro Tips are built in.
THE DETAILS
• Scoring breakdowns for every hand and crib, a Game Review after each game, and Stats with records, streaks and skunks.
• Several card backs and card faces to choose from.
• Warm, tactile sounds, or switch them off.
• A perfect 29 gets the celebration it deserves.
• iPad plays in every orientation. iPhone plays in portrait.
FAIR AND PRIVATE
• The AI plays with exactly the same information you do: its own hand, the cut card and the cards already played. It never looks at your hand and never touches the shuffle. No hidden logic, no stacked odds. Just cribbage.
• Realistic play is built into Hard and Pro: before every card they play, they weigh what you might be holding and what is still unseen, the way a real player does. Easy helps new players and makes mistakes occasionally.
• No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads. Your games and stats live only on your device, and the app makes no network requests.
• Optional App Lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
