About Sitby: Study With Me
Prop your phone up on the desk, camera facing your side. Once a session starts, someone is sitting there with you — leave your seat too long and they call you back; let the room go dark and they tell you to turn a light on; sit too long without moving and they make you get up.
Not another focus timer. Someone is actually there.
Pick who sits with you
Boyfriend, Girlfriend, or Asian Mom — three personalities, three sets of lines. Same moment, different voice: the boyfriend says "There you are. Good." Mom says "Sit back down." Swipe on the opening screen to switch.
They are actually watching
The camera checks two things: whether you are at your desk, and whether there is enough light. It spot-checks once a minute by default, or you can switch to continuous. Leave the phone charging off to the side with the lens angled at you — it does not need your face straight on.
They speak up only when it matters
· Away longer than your limit — called back
· Focused for your full stretch — told to take a break
· Sitting too long without moving — told to stand up
· Past the bedtime you set — told to go to sleep
· Daily effort crossing 30 / 60 / 120 / 180 minutes — a word of encouragement
· A whole day without opening the app — they send a note saying they miss you
Proof that you showed up
Every session ends with a report: minutes of effort today, longest unbroken stretch, how many nudges, how many times you left and how often the light was too dim. Plus a day streak, a 7-day bar chart, and the daily goal you set yourself.
About privacy
Camera frames are analyzed live on your phone and thrown away the moment they are read. No images are stored. No data is uploaded. The app never touches the network. Your session history stays on your device.
