With SkinScreener we have developed an innovative solution to assess the personal risk of skin cancer - clinically tested and approved as a medical device in the European Union. SkinScreener is a class IIa medical device under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and is developed according to a certified ISO 13485 quality management system.

Early detection, as studies show, is critical to successful treatment. According to statistics, one in five people will develop skin cancer at some point in their lives. Along with regular dermatological exams, our app allows you to quickly and easily identify suspicious areas of skin and provides a smart way to determine your risk of skin cancer.

SkinScreener achieved an impressive 95% clinical accuracy in the risk assessment of skin cancer, according to a clinical study at the Medical University of Graz.

In detail, how does SkinScreener work for you?

Inspect your skin for any unusual spots and use the camera to focus on the area you want to analyze.
Take a photo and make sure you hold the phone steady.
If the image is not too blurry, the risk assessment by our neural network starts.
You get the result right away. An easy-to-understand three-color code indicates the risk of skin cancer (Green: low risk, Yellow: medium risk, Red: high risk).
Based on your risk assessment, you are advised to consult a dermatologist for further examination to obtain an accurate medical diagnosis.


Prior to registration, a free scan is provided. Additional scans or offers with a bulk of 3 scans, unlimited scans for six months or one year are available as a paid add-on service.
