About skriblio journal
skriblio is your life journal, with a banana in it.
the pages you love most hang on your memory tree, and it's yours for life. add a page, a photo or a voice note to your favourites and it hangs on your own tree, which grows the more you keep. everything on it stays there for as long as you have your account. years from now you can open it full screen and climb back through the months.
we'll always tell you to write on paper first, in the notebook you already keep. life is part paper and part phone, so skriblio keeps it all in one place. photograph a page from your notebook and it's typed up so you can search it. you can also type a page in the app, or record a voice note when talking suits you better. every page is saved to your account, so it comes with you to a new phone.
when you don't know what to write, there are easy prompts, and a new one waits on your home screen every evening. journal school shows you the old ways people have kept journals, from roman emperors to da vinci's notebooks, and lets you try each one on a page.
then there's the banana. you choose one, and it lives on your home screen and notices the days you journal. stay away too long and it gets restless, goes rogue and does something strange every day, right where you can see it. journal again and it calms straight down. there's no streak to lose.
invite friends to journal with you. every so often their banana pops over to your home to say hello, and you can send a friend something you journaled just for them. they never see the rest of your journal.
you can turn on a reminder from your banana. it comes at most once a day, and never on a day you've already journaled.
on a mac or a windows computer, the desktop companion puts your banana on your screen while you work, and you can journal a page there too.
your journal stays in your own account. it isn't sold, used for ads or used to train models. you can put your vault and your pages behind face id, and delete your account from inside the app. export gives you everything as text, a pdf or a zip with your photos and voice notes.
skriblio is a subscription, by the year or by the month, and new subscribers get the first two weeks free.

Latest updates
1.2.2
the friends tab refreshes when you open it, you set your own name once, and a friend's page waits on home until you open it. their cards have a thin gold outline on your tree. 'go deeper' in the prompts has eight series, one subject each. there are 150 daily words, and today's word or game also comes after a scan. the tree mixes card types and looks calmer. the worlds have more life: a sleeping banana, a lamp, hops between clouds. the doodle canvas is on android. the plans page is clearer.
1.2.1
journaling for a friend is simpler now. in 'you', switch to 'friends', tap a friend and journal something just for them, and your banana takes it to their memory tree. invite links open skriblio straight away, with no codes to type. settings have their own screen. after you journal, home says thanks and shows one tip. if you stay away for a while, the planet slowly dries out and cracks, and it heals when you journal again. the test reminder now shows.
