Sling Photos

As your photo library grows, keeping everything backed up can feel like a balancing act. All those snapshots of your kids, your parents, and your favorite moments deserve a secure home that stays with you. Sling Photos gives you a simple, local alternative.

Connect your iPhone to any USB drive or NAS on your home Wi-Fi. Sling Photos copies your photos there, keeping them organised, verified, and private. No computer required. No cloud dependency. No ongoing costs.

ARCHIVE THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE
Tell Sling Photos who matters most. Add your kids, your partner, or your parents. The app uses on-device face recognition to scan your entire library and find every photo each person appears in. It then archives them to their own folder on your drive, automatically organised by year and city.

ORGANISED THE WAY YOU THINK
Every archive lands in a folder structure that makes sense immediately: Person, Year, City, Date. Holidays are detected automatically, including Christmas, birthdays, and trips, then filed into named event folders. No manual renaming. No tedious sorting.

NEVER MISS A BIRTHDAY OR ANNIVERSARY
Set up recurring albums for the moments that repeat every year. Sling Photos archives each year's celebration photos automatically, building a complete timeline of the people you love, one year at a time.

DETECT YOUR TRIPS
The app identifies when you have travelled. It looks for clusters of photos in new cities, holidays, or weekend getaways, then creates a dedicated trip folder on your drive. Everything is found and filed automatically.

YOUR DRIVE. YOUR PHOTOS. YOUR RULES.
Sling Photos works with any NAS or USB drive over SMB, including Synology, QNAP, Western Digital, Seagate, and a Mac with file sharing enabled. Everything transfers over your local Wi-Fi. Nothing ever leaves your home network. Your drive passwords are stored securely in the iOS Keychain and are never shared.

ONE PURCHASE. UNLIMITED LOCAL BACKUPS. YOUR PHOTOS STAY YOURS, FOREVER.
One purchase. No subscription. No recurring charges. Your licence restores on any device. Try every feature free for seven days. If it fits your workflow, you pay once and keep it permanently.
