About SnapAtOnce
Press and hold the Action button to capture a photo burst, take a Live Photo or start recording video. After first-time permission setup, SnapAtOnce opens a dedicated camera experience from the Lock Screen—even with the screen off.
Choose 1, 3 or 5 photos, with Fastest, 0.2-second or 0.5-second planned intervals. Select rear 1×, 2× or 3×, ultra-wide 0.5× where available, or the front camera. Rear-camera photos can use flash. Actual timing depends on your device, light and camera processing; zoom may include digital magnification.
Save automatically to Photos, or review drafts first and save only what you want. Play back your video before deciding to save it. Unsaved drafts remain on your device for later review. When opening the app manually before taking a new capture, tap the lower-left draft thumbnail to browse all unsaved photos and videos.
Enable optional Film Simulation in Settings for film-inspired front/rear photos, Live Photos and videos. Keep Original saves both the film version and the unfiltered capture; supported rear RAW photos retain DNG originals. The viewfinder stays unfiltered, with film processing applied after capture.
In the viewfinder, short-press a volume button for one photo, or hold a capture button for the configured burst. Continue shooting with unsaved drafts; earlier captures remain available.
No account, ads or third-party analytics. Captures are processed on your device and are not uploaded to the developer. Includes English and Simplified Chinese.
Requires iOS 18 or later. The Action button entry requires an iPhone with an Action button. Open the app first to grant Camera and Photos access; video with sound also requires Microphone access.
Live Photos: capture one photo with motion and sound on launch. Film Simulation applies color to both the still image and motion; Keep Original retains the original Live Photo alongside the film version. Keep the camera open until capture finishes. A fresh launch cannot record moments before the camera starts. Live Photos and videos with sound require microphone access.
Setup instructions list compatible models for the Action button, Camera Control and phones without either button. Models with both buttons can use either method. Other models can use a Lock Screen control, or Control Center on iPhone SE. Entry availability and screen-off behavior depend on your model and system settings.
