Soloist Bansuri: Tuner & Riyaz

Make a little room for bansuri practice every day. Set your Sa, find a steady tone and follow a short phrase in sargam.

Soloist Bansuri brings a tuner, tanpura, taal metronome and guided practice into one place for the North Indian bamboo flute.

START WITH YOUR FLUTE
Choose the pitch and octave of your middle Sa. The six-hole reference shows covered, open and half-covered holes, with guidance for supported registers. Match your flute maker’s tuning convention before you begin.

BUILD A DAILY PRACTICE
Begin with first-note guidance and a steady-tone drill. Follow Bhupali one held note at a time, then work through the riyaz path. Pitch feedback checks the written note, octave and order; quiet or unclear input pauses the assessment. Completed practice adds to your local history.

CROSS THE RIVER EACH DAY
River Stones turns a palta into a daily crossing. Hold each swara steady until its stone settles, then step to the next. Your results show how close each note was, in cents, and how long you held it. Unclear sound or a wobble never places a stone. One Sa–Pa river opens each day; Bansuri Pro opens all 12, with alankars, komal and tivra swaras, and two laya rivers.

KEEP A REFERENCE CLOSE
Use the tanpura for listening and practice, or the taal metronome for a pulse. When a listening drill starts, accompaniment pauses so it does not become part of your assessment.

EXPLORE WITH PRO
Bansuri Pro opens the six deeper path stages, every River Stones river, the complete 33-lesson collection and all 10 raga outlines. Lessons include scales, paltas and original phrase studies. Raga outlines introduce note patterns; they do not replace listening to performances or learning interpretation with a teacher.

A USEFUL START IS INCLUDED
The tuner, Sa selection, six-hole guide, tanpura, taal metronome, first-note guidance, steady-tone drill, Bhupali sur check, the daily River Stones crossing and first four path stages are available without a purchase, along with ten lessons and five raga outlines.

YOUR PRACTICE
Microphone audio is processed on your device. Practice history stays on your device. No account is needed for practice or an Apple-verified Pro purchase. Optional account features have separate data handling described in the privacy policy.
