Using the app now keeps you signed in. After about three months without opening it, you'll be asked to sign in again — and the app will tell you why, instead of showing a feed that won't load.
No more flicker
As you swipe from story to story, the bar with Spin News and the tabs no longer flickers: it's now frosted glass that takes the colour of the story beneath it and follows your finger.
Ready for wide screens
On a wide screen — an iPhone Duo opened, for instance — the AI Diff of the story in view opens beside your feed, and reading pages keep a comfortable width. On every iPhone the layout is unchanged.
Compare sources, clearer
When the comparison can't load, it says so — with Retry where trying again can help — instead of spinning. Pull down to refresh it, and times like "4 hr ago" follow the app's language.
Your settings stay yours
If your profile can't be loaded, the app no longer writes its defaults over your notification and privacy choices: those screens wait for your settings, with Retry.
Fixes
Saved, comments and blocked users no longer look empty when the connection fails: they say they couldn't load, with Retry, and a comment that can't be posted says so and keeps your text. Interrupting a refresh no longer shows an error. About now counts 130+ sources across 70+ countries.… more - 🆕Spin News: Compare Headlines released on the App Store

About Spin News: Compare Headlines
Every newsroom spins. Spin News shows you the spins side by side.
A vertical news feed for people who want more than one country's account of
the day. Read how a story was reported in India — then see the same event
covered from Turkey, Nigeria, Argentina, Spain or the UK, in your own
language, on one screen.
WHAT YOU GET
• A clean vertical feed. One story per card. Swipe through.
• Short headlines and a one-sentence summary, written to a strict house
style: no clickbait, no questions, no superlatives.
• Side-by-side comparison. When several newsrooms cover the same event,
open the cluster and read each version next to the others — plus a short
written comparison of how their framing differs.
• A 3D globe. Spin it, pinch it, tap a country and read its news.
• Your own feed tabs. Follow standard topics, narrower subjects like AI or
elections, whole countries or continents, or build a tab from your own
keywords.
• Listen instead of reading. Any story can be read aloud, in a voice chosen
to match where the story comes from.
• Search, bookmarks, and a reading history that stays on your phone.
• Comments, with real moderation: reporting, blocking, and a filter.
• Ten themes, seven interface languages, and text that scales with yours.
WHERE THE NEWS COMES FROM
Around 90 newsrooms across more than 40 countries, gathered from their own
public feeds. Full articles always open at the publisher's own site — we
link out, we never reprint.
WHERE AI IS USED, AND WHERE IT ISN'T
We think you should know exactly which words a machine wrote.
• Headlines, one-sentence summaries and translations are generated by AI.
• The comparison of how different newsrooms framed the same event is
generated by AI.
• Grouping stories about the same event uses AI similarity matching.
• Article bodies are NEVER generated or rewritten. They stay with the
publisher, and that is where you read them.
WHAT YOU DON'T GET
• Ads. There are none.
• Trackers. No advertising identifier, no analytics SDK, no data brokers.
• A feed built to hold you. The ranking learns what you read so it can show
you more of it — but it never narrows the world to it. Stories from
outside your habits are guaranteed a place on every page, and you can see
why any story reached you.
YOUR DATA
Spin News works with an account, so that the feed, your saved stories,
your hidden ones and your settings are yours and follow you across
devices. Sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email and a password —
and an Apple private-relay address works fine.
Reading signals, which help order your feed, can be switched off in one tap
in Settings; switching them off deletes the scores we built, on every device
you use. You can export everything we hold about you, and delete your
account, from inside the app.
