About Splay: Full-Width Pages
Splay is a Safari extension for the iPhone Duo's front screen. Safari keeps its back, bookmarks, new tab and tabs buttons in a column along the right edge of that screen, and pages are laid out to end where the column starts. Splay widens each page to the full width of the screen. Images and video extend under the buttons, which are see-through, and so do background colors. Lines of text stop at the edge of the button column. Links and buttons that would land under the camera or one of Safari's buttons are shifted left so you can tap them.
The Splay app has one setting, for how text meets the buttons. By default text is justified and long words are hyphenated. You can also justify without hyphens, which leaves wider gaps between some words, or turn justification off and let lines end unevenly.
To turn Splay off for one site, tap the page menu at the left of the address bar while you're on that site, then tap Splay. It stays off for that site until you turn it back on the same way.
Splay changes pages only on the front screen in portrait and leaves the inner screen and other iPhones alone. It doesn't collect any data.
