SteadyHelm turns an iPhone into a motion instrument and an extra pair of eyes for your boat.
LIVE READINGS
See roll and pitch as they happen, measured by the phone's own sensors. SteadyHelm also shows the biggest lean to each side, roll period, compass heading, hull vibration and engine sound. Heave, yaw, surge and sway are shown as estimates of how the boat is moving. Hide any reading you don't need.
LISTING ALERT
Listing Alert warns you if the boat starts to lean and stays leaning. That can mean water coming in, a shifted load or running aground. Normal rolling from waves does not set it off. You choose the angle limit and how quickly it reacts. On its own, Listing Alert works while SteadyHelm is open on screen, and keeps the screen on for you. With Anchor Watch also on, both keep watching with the screen locked.
ANCHOR WATCH
Anchor Watch warns you if the boat moves further than you allow from its anchor point, whether from a dragging anchor or theft. It keeps watching with the screen locked. Every alert includes the boat's position with Google Maps and Apple Maps links.
ALERTS WHERE YOU ARE
Each alert can show a banner, sound an alarm and send a message to your own Telegram account, so you hear about it on the phone in your pocket. Leave a spare phone on board and set it up in seconds by scanning a QR code.
LOGBOOK
Record a trip ten times a second and play it back later, or export it as a CSV file. When an alert goes off, SteadyHelm saves the hours before it and the minutes after, automatically.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-in, no adverts and no tracking. SteadyHelm has no server. Your readings and logs stay on your phone unless you choose to share them.
