Ten Up, Ten Down keeps score for the trick-taking card game, so nobody at the table has to.

Each round, enter everyone's bid, choose trumps and record the tricks taken. The app works out the scores, keeps a running total and shows who's in the lead — no paper, no arithmetic, no arguments.

HOW A GAME WORKS
• Hands start at 10 cards and go down to 1, play the 1-card round twice, then climb back up to 10
• 2 to 10 players — with more than 5, the game starts from a smaller hand so there are always enough cards
• The deal moves round the table each hand, and the app shows who deals and who bids first

BIDDING
• Players bid in order, starting on the dealer's left
• The dealer bids last and can't make the bids add up to the number of tricks — the app shows the one bid that's not allowed
• Once bids are locked in, the highest bidder picks the trump: spades, clubs, diamonds, hearts or no trumps

SCORING
• Make your bid exactly: 10 points plus 2 for every trick you bid
• Miss it: 10 points, minus 3 for each trick short of your bid, or minus 2 for each trick over
• The app checks the tricks add up before a round can finish

DESIGNED FOR THE TABLE
• Large + and − buttons that are easy to tap mid-game
• The screen changes to the trump suit's colour once play begins, so you always know which stage you're at
• Live standings after every round, plus a full scoreboard of every bid, trick and score
• Made a mistake? Tap any finished round on the scoreboard to fix it
• Your game saves automatically, so you can close the app and pick up where you left off
• Works on iPhone and iPad
