The Daily Me: Private Journal downloads
Worldwide, per day, and installs to date. The band is open; the exact number is free with an account.
How this is calculated
Apple publishes no download counts. iPhone downloads come from chart positions and daily rating growth per country, calibrated on Google Play install counts; lifetime installs from ratings worldwide × installs per rating. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.
Active users
All platforms, worldwide. Free with an account.
Stickiness (DAU / MAU)
how many monthly users open it on a given day
How this is calculated
Monthly users come from lifetime installs across every store, fitted on monthly active user figures companies publish; daily users = monthly × the typical daily/monthly ratio for the category. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.

About The Daily Me: Private Journal
Free forever. No subscription, no adverts, no in-app purchases, no account.
The conversations you had, avoided, imagined, ended, or still need to have, finally given a front page.
The Daily Me is a private newspaper for your inner life. You don't write entries. You file stories into your own paper. The press runs every day. The masthead is yours, and by default nothing ever leaves your device.
Not a journal app. Not a notes app. Not a chatbot. A personal editorial desk.
FIVE SECTIONS, ONE PAPER
• OP-ED: opinions, arguments, things you have finally decided.
• LETTER: messages to someone specific. Sent, unsent, never sending, or maybe one day.
• EDITORIAL: reflective judgement. Lessons, principles, where you stand now.
• OBITUARY: endings. Relationships, habits, versions of yourself, places, beliefs.
• BREAKING: fresh emotional records. Something that just happened.
A PROPER NEWSPAPER
Stories file with a red FILED stamp, a haptic, and a date. The front page lays them out like a real broadsheet: masthead, lead story, columns, a breaking strip. Pull down to reprint.
A PROMPT WHEN YOU NEED ONE
A single editorial question each day, at a time and tone you choose. Themed packs for the hard ones: Closure, Forgiveness, Anger, Work, Family, Love, Beginnings, Endings. Save the ones that land.
THE PRESS RUN
The press counts the days you've filed. A small streak that lives quietly under the masthead. No shaming when it breaks.
EDITOR RANKS & SCOOPS
Stringer. Staff Writer. Columnist. Senior Editor. Editor-in-Chief. Promotions appear on every byline as the paper grows up around you.
VOLUMES
Every seven issues are bound into a Volume, a browseable archive of your own paper, exportable as a PDF.
THE SPREAD
Open the device and the paper opens with it. Not two panes of an app side by side: one edition, set across two facing pages, with the fold running down the gutter exactly where a broadsheet's fold runs. The masthead crosses the fold. The lead story begins on the left page and continues on the right, with a real continuation line. When the lead is short, the edition shares itself out so neither page is left empty.
If you would rather have the conventional two sections side by side, that is a setting. Both are built; you choose.
The paper also lays itself out from the space it is given rather than from a list of devices, so it reads correctly upright, turned wide, in a split-screen pane, and on a larger display when a device opens out.
ONE PRESS TO FILE
Two Control Centre controls, File a Story and Today's Edition, which you can also put on the Action Button or the Lock Screen. The friction in a journal is the distance between having the thought and having somewhere to put it. This is the shortest version of that distance.
SHARE AS A CLIPPING
Export any story as a newspaper clipping for the share sheet. Black-bar redaction blurs recipients, lines, dates, or your byline before anything is shared.

Latest updates
3.0
Version three. The paper now opens.
THE SPREAD
Open the device and the paper opens with it. Today's edition sets itself across two facing pages, with the fold as the gutter, the masthead crossing it, and the lead story beginning on the left page and continuing on the right. When the lead is short the edition shares itself out so neither page is left empty.
Prefer the conventional two sections side by side? That is a setting now. Both are built, under Settings, Opened out.
A PAPER THAT RESIZES
The Daily Me now lays itself out from the space it is given rather than from a list of devices, so it reads correctly upright, turned wide, in a split-screen pane, and on a larger display when a device opens out. Landscape is unlocked on iPhone for the first time.
FIXED
About showed v0.1.0 no matter which version you were actually running. It now reads the real one.
ONE PRESS TO FILE
Two Control Centre controls, File a Story and Today's Edition, which also work on the Action Button and the Lock Screen.
