About There's a contact - party game
Players continue to make hunches and ask questions till the round is over. When they win a round, the host calls the next letter. We have the word ‘SALARY’. And now the players are doing the same thing, guessing the word starting with ‘SA’. The players win a game if they say out loud the word the host has made up. The one who guessed the word becomes a new host. The host wins if the players give up and admit that they cannot guess the word. Then the host gets a right to mock the players all evening, and in the case of multiple wins — all week.
We have three friends - John, Chris and Ben. Here's how they play:
John has to be the host.
Host: The first letter is ‘A’.
Chris: Is it not such a fruit?
Host: No, it's not ‘APPLE’.
Ben: Then isn’t that a person who travels through space?
Chris: There is a contact!
Ben and Chris: One, two, three... ‘AUSTRANAUT’.
Host: the second letter is ‘U’
Ben: ‘AU’? Again? Is that a country where kangaroo lives?
Chris: There is a contact! Ben and Chris: One, two, three... ‘AUSTRALIA’
Host: Yes, it's ‘AUSTRALIA’! You win!
We’ve got a crop of the juiciest words from lexical fields, vocabulary corners and language bins for you to always have the right set is around. If you need to make friends with unfamiliar people or cheer up timid colleagues — take the ‘Party set’ and get a great meeting game! If you are indefatigable riddler and you need a game for the journey, so to say, a hike through the Alps, take a ‘Huge Set’ with you — it would be definitely enough. The 'Family Set' is made especially for a children's party or a cozy evening. The ‘Adventure Set’ is saturated with distant lands bonfires and ancient legends. The 'Spooky' one would make your blood run cold. In the 'Lit' one, we collected the slang of several generations and all sorts of gimmicks— and began to laugh af. And if your blood is already inflamed, don’t be afraid of ambiguity and get ready for deep contacts — open the 'Frank' one. Let the game buffs and experienced riddlers try to cope with ‘Exotic Set’! And for real professionals of vocabulary, there is an extremely complex ‘Incredible Set’.
Now when you know the rules of the game "There's a contact!", prepare for wrestle: adjust your telepathic connections, stretch your vocabulary, walk your hints and train your ambiguous speech to shout really hard at the right moment: THERE’S A CONTACT!
