Toto: Visual Novel Player

Bring the PC games and interactive stories you own into one library on iPhone and iPad.

Toto plays games made with RPG Maker MV/MZ, Ren'Py (web builds), TyranoScript, Twine, Ink, Unity WebGL and Godot 4.5–4.7, plus Z-code and Glulx interactive fiction. Once imported, they play offline, with translation, bilingual view and read-aloud built in.

SUPPORTED FORMATS
• RPG Maker MV/MZ: import the PC game folder or zip as is (XP, VX and VX Ace are not supported yet)
• Ren'Py: web builds (PC builds are not supported yet)
• TyranoScript: Windows release packages and web builds, no manual unpacking
• Twine: SugarCube and Harlowe (Chapbook and Snowman also open)
• Ink: Inky's "Export for web"
• Unity: WebGL builds
• Godot 4.5–4.7: PC or web exports (games that use C# or GDExtension are not supported yet; the Godot runtime downloads the first time you import a Godot game)
• Z-code / Glulx (Parchment): .z5, .z8, .ulx, .gblorb and more, with a command panel and input completion
• Archives: zip (including password-protected zip), rar, 7z and tar

WAYS TO IMPORT
• Import from Computer: connect your computer and your iPhone or iPad to the same Wi-Fi network, go to the address shown in the app in a web browser on your computer, and enter the pairing code. Works with Mac and Windows; no additional software needed
• Pick a zip, a folder or a single file in the Files app, or share files to Toto from AirDrop, cloud storage, chat apps and mail attachments

TRANSLATE & READ ALOUD
• Translate on-screen text, or turn on Bilingual: text-based games show the translation under the original, visual games show it in a translation bar
• Area Translate: drag over text on the game screen to translate it or read it aloud
• Read text and dialogue aloud
• Uses Apple's built-in translation; download a language pack and it works offline

PLAY
• Virtual stick and buttons, with movable positions and custom keys
• Reading Style, Text-Only Mode and Night Warmth
• Game saves stay on your device, with Backup & Restore

LIBRARY
• Cover styles, or pick your own cover image
• Reading stats
• Face ID / Passcode Lock; the screen is covered as soon as you switch away
• A small pet to keep you company while you read

TOTO PRO (in-app purchase, one-time, yours to keep)
• Per-work reading style, key layout and controller position
• Multiple named key profiles
• iCloud sync for your library, progress and settings
