About TransformationBuddy
TransformationBuddy is a calm, consistency-first sidekick for a body transformation. No account, no ads, and everything stays on your phone.
SCAN ANY BARCODE
Point your phone at a packaged food and the calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar and sodium fill in before you've put the box down. No barcode in the database? Photograph the Nutrition Facts label instead and the numbers are read on your phone, nothing uploaded.
A FOOD LOG YOU CAN IGNORE
Calorie counting helps some people and hurts others, so it lives in its own tab that you can hide completely. When you want it: 7,800 generic foods searchable offline, meals, favorites, recents, a daily calorie target with a sensible macro split, and a CSV export.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
A widget shows your day number, check-in status, streaks and calories at a glance, with one-tap buttons to check in, log food or scan a barcode. Lock Screen widgets and an iOS 18 Control Center button get you to the scanner even faster.
SYNCS WITH APPLE HEALTH
Connect Health and the check-in fills itself in: the weight your scale sent, the steps and sleep your Watch recorded, the water you logged elsewhere. What you log here flows back, so Health shows one honest record. You pick what to share, and it all stays on your phone.
WATER, WITHOUT THE NAGGING
A daily goal suggested from your weight, glasses logged with one tap from the Today tab or the Water widget, and reminders only between the hours you choose. Hit the goal and the reminders stop for the day.
THREE CHAINS, NOT ONE
Daily, weekly and monthly streaks run at the same time. Miss three days and log once, and the weekly chain survives. That's the honest way to model a year-long project. Back-filled days count, and no streak can shame you.
DAY 1 STAYS ON THE LEFT
Your first front and side photos are pinned on the left, forever. Every new check-in lands on the right, with the weight difference between them. A timeline strip lets you hold any past date against Day 1.
THE TREND, NOT THE NUMBER
Raw weigh-ins are dots. The bold line is a 7-day trend drawn against your goal, so water weight stops being a mood. A trend-low readout gives you a number that only moves when something real changed.
A JOURNAL THAT ASKS BETTER QUESTIONS
Weight and tape measurements, yes, but also mood, energy, sleep, water, workouts, and a 1-to-5 cravings scale that asks for a note at every level: what triggered it on a hard day, what was different on a calm one. Rotating reflection prompts, a non-scale victory box, and one thing for tomorrow.
PROGRESS YOU CAN SHARE
A progress-post-style summary (age, height, start, now, weeks) you can copy anywhere, plus CSV and JSON export of everything you've logged.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads. Everything lives on your phone. The only thing the app ever sends over the internet is a barcode, to the Open Food Facts database, and only when you scan one. Optional Face ID lock keeps your photos out of the app switcher.

NEW: Apple Health, and water.
• Turn it on in Settings and your check-in pre-fills with today's weight, waist, steps, sleep, water and workouts from Health.
• Anything you log goes back the other way: weight, waist, water, and every food with its calories and macros.
• You choose exactly what to share. Nothing leaves your phone.
• Water: a daily goal from your weight, one-tap glasses on the Today tab, gentle reminders between wake and bed that stop once you've hit the goal, and a two-week chart.
• Widgets: log a glass straight from the Home Screen with a new Water button on the wide widget or the new Water widget, and a cleaner small widget with one-tap buttons.
• Siri and Shortcuts: "Log a glass of water in TransformationBuddy", "Scan a barcode", "Check in". On iOS 18, a Control Center button logs a glass too.
Also: new users can fill in their starting weight, height, age and sex from Health during setup.
Built for iOS 27.1 and ready for iPhone Duo, with landscape on every iPhone.
1.1
NEW: the Food tab.
- Scan any barcode and the nutrition facts fill in instantly.
- No barcode match? Point the camera at the Nutrition Facts label and the numbers are read on your phone.
- Search 7,800 generic foods offline (USDA data), log by meal, set a calorie and macro target.
- Calorie counting is optional. Hide the whole tab in Settings if it isn't helping.
Also: label scanning handles the two-column "per serving / per container" labels on pints and family packs.
