TrueSteps — Step Counter downloads
Worldwide, per day, and installs to date. The band is open; the exact number is free with an account.
How this is calculated
Apple publishes no download counts. App Store downloads come from chart positions and daily rating growth per country, calibrated on Google Play install counts; lifetime installs from ratings worldwide × installs per rating. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.
Active users
All platforms, worldwide. Free with an account.
Stickiness (DAU / MAU)
how many monthly users open it on a given day
How this is calculated
Monthly users come from lifetime installs across every store, fitted on monthly active user figures companies publish; daily users = monthly × the typical daily/monthly ratio for the category. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.

Review momentum
49/100
faster than 49% of Health & Fitness apps
Review momentum (0-100) blends how fast the app collects ratings compared with other apps in its category (60%), whether that pace is speeding up (25%) and what recent raters give it (15%; recent stars well below lifetime pull it down). Ratings counts are read daily. A jump usually means a launch, a feature, ads or a new review prompt.
About TrueSteps — Step Counter
TrueSteps is the step counter that respects you: beautiful, genuinely free, and private by design. No account. No GPS. No tracking. Just your steps, counted honestly — right on your iPhone.
Most pedometers are loved for the basics and resented for everything else: paywalls, surprise renewals, ad overload, and counts that lag or can't be corrected. TrueSteps fixes the basics and never gets in your way.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
• Real-time counting — your steps tick up live, no refreshing.
• A beautiful home screen — one calm "Aura" ring shows your progress at a glance, with distance, calories, active time, and floors.
• Steps to go — see how many steps are left and about how long a walk gets you there.
• Hour-by-hour view — see exactly when you move most, today.
• Trends — clean Week, Month, and Year charts with a simple "you're trending up" read.
• Fix any day — tap a day to correct its steps if your phone wasn't with you. (Almost no other app lets you.)
• Streaks that forgive — one free rest day a week keeps your streak alive. A missed day never feels like failure.
• Awards & personal bests — milestone badges, longest streak, best day, and more.
• Walk Mode — start a walk and watch your live pace and cadence, with zero GPS. A calm summary when you're done.
• Home Screen & Lock Screen widgets — your ring, always a glance away.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
TrueSteps counts steps using your iPhone's motion sensor only — no GPS, no location permission, and no Apple Health access required. There's no account and no sign-up, and your step history is stored on your device. We have no servers and never see your data. Want proof? The in-app Privacy panel lets you export everything (or erase everything) in one tap.
FREE, FOREVER
No subscription. No in-app purchases. TrueSteps is supported by polite, non-personalised ads that never cover your steps and never track you across apps.
