About Waffle Iron: Podcast Maker
Waffle Iron is a podcast recorder for people who'd rather make the podcast than learn the software.
You press record and talk. When you stop, that take becomes a part on one simple timeline, and you can trim it, drag it somewhere else, turn it up or bin it. That's the whole editing model. You won't see a track, a region or a mixer anywhere.
It'll sound good straight away. Waffle Iron evens out the levels, makes voices clearer and takes out the long pauses on its own, and if you like a fiddle, each of those has its own switch.
Need a drum roll? There are eight sound pads, and whatever you tap lands exactly where you were in the sentence. You can swap in your own sounds whenever you like.
Every take gets written down on the device as you go. You can find any bit by searching for what was said, read a part back before you record the next one, and cut what you don't need. Rude words get a beep, and you can turn that off.
When it's done, save it as an MP3 or M4A with its artwork and tags, as a video with captions, as just the words, or as every part separately if you'd like to finish it somewhere else.
There's no account and no login, and nothing gets uploaded. Recording, transcription, tidying and export all happen on your iPhone or iPad, so it works in flight mode too. You buy it once and that's it.
