About Webb, where's my car?
Mark Webb has a garage, a phone, a very patient secretary called Penny and a mechanic called Dave who would like to talk to you about his carburettor. What he needs now is cars. Lots of lovely old cars.
Webb, where's my car? is a chilled, very British comedy business game about running a classic car hire firm for one year. Buy old motors at auction, do them up in the workshop, and hire them out to a parade of posh, daft and occasionally royal customers. Then try to remember where you parked them.
BUY AT AUCTION
Bid against rival dealers while the auctioneer rattles on. Some lots are bargains, some are project cars, some are wild cards nobody can quite explain, and some are best left to someone else.
FIFTY CLASSICS
Fifty lovingly modelled parody classics: the Jagwar E-Type, the Minnie Cooker, the Volksbeagle Bug, the Furrari F-Fourty, the Rangey Rover and dozens more. Every one looks like the car you're thinking of, and none of them are quite allowed to say so.
ANSWER THE PHONE
Weddings, film shoots, funerals, festivals, tribute bands and country estates. Callers ring in with jobs you can actually do with the cars you own, and the big jobs only turn up when your stable is ready for them. Not sure what to buy next? Dave has recommendations. Lots of them.
KEEP THE BOOKS
Pay the bills, take out a loan if you must (Kwik Kwid will approve you in eleven seconds), place adverts in the parish newsletter and keep your reputation shiny. Run out of money and it's game over; make it through a full year and you get a Year in Review of how it all went.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Collect achievements for the good days, the bad days and the frankly unlikely days. One of them involves the King.
RELAXED BY DESIGN
No adverts, no in-app purchases and no internet needed. Just jazz, old cars and the occasional fox in the glovebox.
Mark Webb is a real person, a friend of the developer, and he is very pleased about all this.
