❓ QUICK ANSWERS
- Do I need my phone? No. The watch app is standalone. The phone app keeps your log, charts and widget.
- Can it detect fever or measure body temperature? No. It reads wrist skin temperature, which is normally lower than core body temperature.
- Galaxy Watch FE or a non-Samsung Wear OS watch? No. Watch FE has no skin temperature sensor, and the app reads the sensor through Samsung's own SDK, so it runs only on the models below.
- Why does my reading look low? That is normal for wrist skin temperature. The calibration setting lets you fine-tune how the value is shown.
