Bible Verse Widget - prayer shield
From distracted to devoted—one day at a time.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33

Your phone trains you to react first and pray later. Notifications, feeds, and “just one more scroll” turn prayer into something you’ll get to if there’s time. Bible Verse Widget's prayer Shield flips the order: optional Prayer Shield can keep chosen apps quiet until you’ve met God in prayer for the day—then you unlock and move on with Scripture and peace already in place.

It’s not only verses on a screen. It’s a faith-first rhythm: prayer candles that grow with your consistency, beautiful widgets on your Lock Screen and Home Screen, Christ-centered affirmations, and tools to save favorites and build devotionals—so your faith shows up before the algorithm does.

How it works (Prayer Shield)

1. Choose which apps or categories to shield—or use stronger blocking when you need a hard reset.
2. Allow Screen Time access so Votive - Bible Verse Widget can help protect your focus (required for shielding).
3. When a new day begins, open Votive and pray with your prayer candle until your daily prayer is complete.
4. Prayer Shield lifts for the day—your streak stays honest, and your attention belongs to you again.

What’s inside

• Prayer Shield — put prayer before the scroll; block selected apps or go broader until your daily candle prayer is done
• Prayer candles — a visual, trackable prayer ritual; your flame grows as you show up
• Widgets — Bible verses and faith-filled reminders on Lock Screen and Home Screen, styled to match your theme
• Affirmations & Scripture — daily encouragement tuned to real life; save favorites and explore collections
• Devotionals & customization — build your own flow; control how often encouragement arrives
• Streaks & progress — see consistency take root over time

*All of the above features require an active subscription*

Good for
• Building a daily prayer habit that survives a noisy phone
• Reducing mindless scrolling without deleting every app
• Keeping Scripture and prayer in view all day (widgets + candles)
• Strengthening spiritual discipline with gentle structure, not guilt
