About Biblio Times: RSS Newspaper
Biblio Times sets the feeds you choose as a morning newspaper.
Each morning your device collects the public feeds of the publications you pick and lays them out as a paper: a front page, sections, columns, headlines in a proper serif, and photographs screened as halftones. On iPhone the paper arrives folded in half; pull it open to read below the fold. On iPad and Mac it opens as a spread.
YOUR SOURCES
Tick from starter feeds for your country and for Ideas, Dispatches and Design, or add any site or feed address of your own. Nothing is ticked for you. Change the mix at any time; the next edition prints it.
TWO EDITIONS
The Biblio edition is set in Fraunces and Timeless on paper stock. The Digital edition is a tight grotesk. Choose the paper, the picture style, and the size of the type.
READ IT AS A PAPER
Tap a headline to read the story where it was published, or print it on the page in the paper's own type. Clip stories to keep. Back issues stay on the rack for a fortnight. Send a story to Biblio or to your e-reader as a book. Ask for a morning call when the paper is ready.
YOUR DEVICE IS THE PRESS
The paper is made on your device from the publishers' own feeds. Nothing is routed through Biblio's servers, there is no account, and Biblio keeps no copy of what you read. The stories remain their publishers'; the paper is for your own reading.
THE PRESS PASS
Your first three papers are on the house. After them the press runs for holders of the Press Pass, bought once from Apple for every device signed in with your Apple Account. A Press Founder holds the pass for their family too, and has their name printed on their paper.
Biblio Times is a craft by agenti.nz, from the same press as Biblio, the 3D bookshelf, and Atelier.

Latest updates
1.1.4
A third edition, beside Biblio and Digital: the Dystopian edition. The same paper on grey pulp, its name in condensed capitals with the orange printed a little off the black, a typewriter for the copy, and every lead picture stamped Verified. Its pages turn with a thinner, crackly sound. Choose it in the menu under the paper's name, or in Settings. Rough paper, in the same menu, lets the ink drop out of the type; it is off unless you turn it on.
Also in this update:
- From the Editor, a few letters from us, can be ticked under Sources. It is never ticked for you.
- Later puts today's edition aside while you finish what you were reading.
- Unticking a feed of your own stops it printing and keeps it in your list. Remove asks first.
- A reader's own masthead name with tails, like a p or a g, no longer touches the rule under it.
- Stories from feeds that write their dates oddly no longer show an age of thousands of days.
- A page being turned stays still under the curl.
1.1.1
Try the paper before you install it. Open a Biblio Times link or scan its code, and an App Clip prints today's paper from a starter set of sources. Install the app and it opens on that same paper.
- The morning paper: after your first story, the paper asks once whether you want a notification when tomorrow's paper is out, with its headline.
- The switch is now called Morning paper notification, in the menu under the paper's name and in Settings. If you had it on, it stays on.
- What's New tells you about this update when you open the paper.
1.1
Bring your feeds with you. Import an OPML file from another reader, or export your sources to keep a copy. Folders named after a section, like World or Design, file their feeds straight into it.
- Import and export OPML from the sources desk.
- Choose a section for each feed of your own.
- Three new desks to start from: Sport, Games and Arts.
- Section pages now share their space between your feeds, so one busy feed no longer fills the page.
- Monochrome light and Monochrome dark paper for the Digital edition.
- On an open iPhone Duo, a new paper starts on its front page.
- Better reading with VoiceOver, more stories that open in full, and clippings that stay up to date across your devices.
- A What's New page shows what changed after an update, and Settings links to the Biblio community on Reddit.
