BookScanner Book Leveler App

BookScanner has been rebuilt. Everything you scanned is still here. On first launch BookScanner brings your earlier scan history across by itself — nothing to export, nothing to restore, nothing to tap. The old library file is read and left exactly where it is, so the version you already had is untouched. Books that came over are marked "From your earlier scan history" in History, and the filter sheet will show you just those. You can run the import again from Settings whenever you like.

Your ATOS levels, AR quiz numbers, AR points, word counts, interest levels and Lexile measures come across exactly as BookScanner had them.

NOTHING TO BUY
Lexile measures, DRA, Fountas & Pinnell / Guided Reading Levels and grade equivalents are included for every owner. BookScanner has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

FIVE READING LEVELS, AND WHERE EACH ONE CAME FROM
- AR (Accelerated Reader) / ATOS — looked up, never estimated
- Lexile measures — looked up, never estimated
- Guided Reading Level (GRL) / F&P — looked up from Scholastic when Scholastic has it; otherwise BookScanner estimates it and marks it ≈
- DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) — marked ≈ when BookScanner estimates it
- Grade level equivalent — marked ≈ when BookScanner estimates it

Above P, BookScanner doesn't estimate a Guided Reading Level: where Scholastic has no level for a longer chapter book, BookScanner shows none rather than a letter it can't stand behind.

NOW ON MAC
BookScanner runs on the Mac as well as on iPhone and iPad, on the same purchase. Scan with the webcam at your desk. Your history is kept in your own private iCloud database and syncs to your other devices.

IMPORT AND EXPORT
- Export your library to CSV — sixteen columns, including where each level came from
- Import a CSV, including a file exported from the earlier BookScanner
- Export to PDF for printing, and share a single book or your whole library
