About Late Again
Late again? Not on our watch.
Late Again follows your train on the lock screen, tells you which trains stop where you're going, and works out the way round when a line is down.
Built in Melbourne, for trains, trams and buses. Also Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth.
ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN
Follow a train and it rides on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island: a live countdown, every stop, how late it is, and what comes next. An alarm rings one stop before yours, even in quiet hours.
FREE, AND THE UPGRADE
The board, lines, map and trip planning are free. Alerts on a locked phone and Follow are a subscription: free for a week, then yearly or monthly, billed through the App Store and cancelled any time in your account settings. Prices are shown in the app.
WHEN THE LINE IS DOWN
Open Your options and the app works out another way: off before the gap and a walk, a different line two stops away, or the replacement buses. Each option says when it leaves, when you arrive, and how far you walk.
THE NETWORK, DRAWN
The whole network as a map, with the live trains on it.
DOES THIS TRAIN STOP AT MY STATION
Set TO BLACKBURN on the departures board and it splits in two: the trains that stop there, each with the time it arrives, and the ones that don't.
TRAMS AND BUSES TOO
Every Melbourne tram and bus, on the same board as your trains. Find your stop, see what's coming live, and plan a trip with one change.
SIX CITIES
• Melbourne. Metro Trains, V/Line out to Geelong and Bendigo, and every tram and bus.
• Sydney. Sydney Trains, the M1 Metro, light rail, Newcastle and the intercity lines.
• Brisbane. Queensland Rail and the Gold Coast G:link.
• Adelaide. Adelaide Metro trains and the Glenelg tram.
• Canberra. Light rail. Transport Canberra publishes no disruption notices, and the app says so.
• Perth. Suburban and regional trains.
ALSO IN THE APP
• A widget on the home screen, and the next trains on your Apple Watch.
• Trips across city and country trains together, changing where it is quicker.
• One alert when a disruption starts. No repeats while it lasts.
• Quiet windows, 8pm to 6am daily and 10am to 4pm on weekdays.
No account, and nothing about where you are leaves your phone. Turn alerts on and your notification token, city, lines, stations, quiet windows, rules, any mute and timezone offset are stored on our server, so it can reach a closed phone. Turn alerts off and they are deleted.
