Learn Japanese, pack your equipment and set out from camp. Lexicon Odyssey is a single-player RPG where study cards, practice questions and spaced review accompany your journey.
START WITH KANA, OR PICK YOUR LEVEL
Begin with hiragana and katakana, or choose vocabulary and grammar grouped from N5 to N1. Read explanations and examples, listen to Japanese recordings, then recall what you have learned through different question types. Use gradual hints when you get stuck, revisit mistakes and review older material when it is due.
BUILD YOUR CHARACTER
Combine equipment, accessories and magic to suit your play style. Study while your character fights during expeditions, then take command in 3D duels. Listen for the key word in an enemy's chant to interrupt its attack. Beyond 300 km, the Reverse World opens into changing forests and new encounters. A bounty bestiary records the monsters you meet.
LEARN BETWEEN EXPEDITIONS
Run a burger shop and listen carefully to Japanese orders, including telephone orders as your shop grows. Take a quick vocabulary sprint, listen to the camp radio's weather forecast or join ten optional introductory grammar lessons. Read Japanese books with recordings and a listen-and-repeat mode.
SING, WATCH AND STUDY
Unlock a karaoke room with gold earned in the game. Listen to the original songs, study lyrics line by line with vocabulary and grammar notes, or sing along. If you enable the microphone, you can save recordings on your device and play them back.
Unlock the television to watch episodes of the Japanese anime Kosys! with your camp companions. Turn readings and translations on or off, open explanations at marked moments, take notes linked to the dialogue and finish with a review quiz. The room, television, songs and episodes are obtained with in-game gold. No real-money purchase is needed to unlock them.
