- 📦Moments Camera version 1.5.1In this version (1.5.1)
● Photos now preserve their original filenames when sent to Mac (IMG_0123.HEIC instead of generic device names)
● Live Photos correctly send both the image (.HEIC) and video (.MOV) with matching names
● Improved upload queue handling for multiple photos sent in quick succession
● Better network connection stability with Moments Mac app
In this version (1.5.0)
● Working like the native Apple Camera app, use Volume Up/Down to take a picture
● When multiple Moments host applications are running that the phone can see, you are now presented with a dialog box to choose which host to connect to. You can disconnect/reconnect using the host connection button in the top left of the screen. The Moments host owner can rename their host on the Settings : General pane.
● Migrated Host Photos from MultipeerConnectivity to Network.framework for improved reliability and ongoing Apple support. Fixed stream corruption in the framer by switching from stateful two-phase parsing to atomic message consumption. Breaking change for Moments, Moments Camera and Moments Print.
● Fixes a Race condition on first launch - the PHPhotoLibraryChangeObserver is registered asynchronously (in the authorization callback), but the user could take a photo before it completes. The first photo's change notification would be missed.
● Fixes a photo library permission issue that could mean photos are ignored for upload
● Added duplicate photo detection when taking and queuing photos
● Fixes an issue when the app was backgrounded and theb brought to the foreground - it would not automatically reconnect to the Moments host - it does now when the timer fires
● Fixes an issue where images added from the camera roll were not automatically uploaded to Moments (host)
● Added Photo taken/upload tracking - "Pending: X | Uploaded: Y" - when uploads are queued
● Usage of the connected software suite, Moments (host), Moments Camera, Moments print - will require your own router/wireless accesspoint (you need to be in control - do not rely on the host venue to provide as Capitive Portal or Public networks often implement client isolation which will prevent anything from working)… more - 🆕Moments Camera released on the App Store

About Moments Camera
This is the companion application to the macOS application Moments.
This is "Moments Camera". It is a companion application to the macOS application "Moments". Together these applications work to be an events PhotoBooth.
Moments Camera (installed on one or many devices) connects over a network automatically to the macOS Moments host software. Momemts Camera allows you to take photos (still and live), the photos are transmitted over the network to the Moments host. What does this mean - imagine you're at a wedding, pictures are being displayed on the big screen and many of the guests are taking pictures with Moments Camera... what a huge celebration gift for the happy couple where forever they are able to view the images of their guests and what really happened during the wedding.
Moments on macOS is PhotoBooth software that lets you take images using a connected DLSR camera or one or many iPhones to take pictures at an event.
When network connectivity breaks images are queued for transfer (even across application restarts) for upload to the macOS host when connectivity is restored.
Users can choose to take live pictures and have short movies uploaded. There can be one or many "Moments Cameras" at an event where there is a Moments macOS host.
