- 📦Photon Camera updated to version 7.1.2Improvements to the camera on iPhone Duo:
- Bigger viewfinder. The preview now uses more of both screens: on the outer display it also extends under the camera area at the side. It always keeps the 4:3 shape of your photo.
- Easier one-handed use. Controls are now centered on the outer display. On the inner display in portrait they sit just above the shutter, within easy reach of your thumb.
- Smoother rotation. On the inner display, the viewfinder and controls now rotate together in a single animation.
- Familiar layout. File format sits on the left, Auto in the centre and resolution on the right, with the lens picker above it, as on other iPhones. Long format names no longer run into the Auto
button.
- More room for manual controls. When you open a manual control, such as the White Balance trackball, it gets the extra space, as on other iPhones.

- Made for both displays. Photon now has a camera layout for each display. The full 4:3 frame always shows, uncropped, with the controls in the space
beside or below it.
- Comfortable when unfolded. With iPhone Duo opened, the viewfinder sits on the left. The controls sit on the right, gathered just above the shutter,
close to your right thumb.
- Moves between displays with you. Photon's camera adapts its layout when you switch between the inner and outer displays.

Photon is now a native iPad camera. All your pro tools are there: manual controls, histogram, level, focus peaking, and loupe, with layouts designed for the larger screen. A dedicated editing sidebar gives your photos more room while keeping adjustments close at hand.
Smart Selection lets you adjust one part of a photograph independently. In the adjustments panel, turn on selection mode and tap an object. Photon detects the object's edges and highlights it, so your adjustments affect only that region. Invert the selection to work on everything outside it instead. Brighten your subject, cool the background, or give each its own look. Requires iOS 27.
New Blur and Sharpen tools give you more ways to shape your photos. Apply them to the whole image, or combine them with Smart Selection to soften a background or bring out detail in your subject.
