About Sendoa - surf & tide forecast
Sendoa checks the tide, swell and wind at each of your spots, for your board and your level, and makes the call: Worth it, Maybe, Not today or Big for you. You get the window, and the reasons.
It's what you'd work out yourself with a tide table and a forecast open side by side, done for the next seven days.
YOUR SPOTS
All your spots on one screen, a call for each. You see which one is working and when to set the alarm. Tap a spot for the detail, hour by hour: swell height and period, wind, tide and light.
YOUR LEVEL
Tell it your board, your level and the biggest surf you're happy in. When it's too big for you, the call says so. Big spring tides and solid swell come with a warning about currents.
ON A BIG-TIDE COAST
In Cornwall, Devon or Wales, where spring tides rise and fall seven metres or more, the tide often decides whether a spot works at all. The call allows for it at each spot, so the window you get is when it actually works.
TIDES, EVEN WITH NO SIGNAL
Tide times and heights are worked out on your iPhone, so they still work in a car park with no signal. We check them against real tide-gauge readings and publish the error for every port on sendoa.app. 340 ports in six countries.
WHERE THE FORECAST COMES FROM
Swell and wind come from the Météo-France and ECMWF models. The source and the time of the run are on screen. Beyond three days, it tells you the forecast can still change.
